Yas Launches New Outlet at Dodoma SGR Station to Improve Digital Service Access

Dodoma residents and passengers using the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) are set to enjoy easier access to communication and financial services with the opening of a new Yas store at the SGR station. The outlet aims to simplify daily transactions, support small business operations, and improve access to digital services in the fast-growing capital. Dodoma District Commissioner Jabir Shekimweri officially inaugurated the store, praising Yas Tanzania for its role in strengthening the digital economy and supporting economic activity. Customers can now register SIM cards, use mobile financial services via Mixx, buy smartphones, and access business solutions tailored to entrepreneurs. Mwangaza Matotola, Yas Tanzania’s Director of Customer Experience and Operations, explained that the company is focusing on high-traffic areas like Dodoma to meet growing demand for reliable communication services. The store also introduces the Mjasiriamali Box to help small-scale business owners operate more efficiently. In addition, Yas is improving its digital customer service platforms, including chatbots and social media support, to enhance service delivery. Fredy Mwanjala from Tanzania Railways Corporation noted that Yas at the SGR station strengthens integrated services and convenience for passengers. This new outlet brings the total Yas stores in Dodoma to five, reflecting the company’s commitment to advancing Tanzania’s digital transformation and expanding service access across the country.
