YouTube TV Announces Sports-Focused Bundle Pricing and Channel Lineup
YouTube TV has unveiled its new lineup of slimmed-down bundles targeting specific interests, with the sports-focused package attracting the most attention due to the importance of live sports in pay-TV economics. The sports package is priced at $64.99 per month, with a promotional rate of $54.99 for new subscribers in the first year. It includes local affiliates of major broadcast networks such as ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox, NBC, and PBS, along with ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, ACC Network, SEC Network, Big Ten Network, FS1, FS2, NBA TV, Golf Channel, NBC Regional Sports Networks, USA, NBCSN, CBS Sports Network, PickleBall TV, T2, TUDN, TBS, TNT, truTV, and NFL Network. ESPN Unlimited access will be added this fall. Notably, MLB Network and Tennis Channel are absent. The package is part of YouTube TV’s broader strategy, which also includes a Sports + News plan ($71.99/month), Entertainment Plan ($54.99/month), and a News + Entertainment + Family Plan ($69.99/month), all offering various discounts for new subscribers. The move aligns with similar bundles launched by DirecTV and Comcast, while the regular YouTube TV plan remains at $82.99, reflecting ongoing price increases since 2017. The new bundles aim to provide more targeted options for viewers, combining popular channels with affordability.
