Adobe Launches Free Premiere App for iPhone with Full Video Editing Capabilities
Adobe is bringing its renowned Premiere video editing software to mobile devices with the launch of a free app for iPhone and iPad later this month. This new app offers full editing capabilities, allowing users to save and publish videos without watermarks, a notable feature considering the app is completely free. Adobe promises a mobile-friendly version of Premiere that is fast, intuitive, and easy to use, without sacrificing professional-level tools. The app is expected to be available by September 30, and users can already pre-order it on the Apple App Store. In-app purchases for generative AI credits will be offered, but most of the app’s features will be free. While Adobe’s desktop version of Premiere still requires a subscription, the mobile version aims to provide a similar editing experience on-the-go, albeit with some potential limitations. Adobe also plans to expand the app to Android devices in the future. The mobile version will include various AI-powered tools, though it remains unclear if it will feature all the advanced AI agents found in the PC version. This launch follows Adobe’s strategy to enhance its mobile offerings, following the release of free Photoshop and AI DSLR camera apps.
