Amazon Launches Advanced Echo Devices with Alexa+ AI for Personalized Smart Home Experience
Amazon has introduced four new Echo devices designed specifically for its next-generation AI assistant, Alexa+. The devices—Echo Dot Max, Echo Studio, Echo Show 8, and Echo Show 11—feature custom-designed AZ3 and AZ3 Pro chips that enhance conversation detection, audio processing, and edge AI capabilities. Omnisense sensor fusion integrates cameras, audio, ultrasound, and Wi-Fi radar to provide proactive and personalized interactions, such as reminders when specific people enter a room or alerts for security events. The Echo Dot Max delivers room-filling sound with nearly three times the bass of previous models and a two-way speaker system, priced at $99.99. Echo Studio combines immersive bass, full-range drivers, spatial audio, and Dolby Atmos in a compact design for $219.99. The new Echo Show 8 and 11 smart displays feature 13-megapixel cameras, high-density displays, front-facing stereo speakers, and built-in smart home hubs supporting Zigbee, Matter, and Thread. Alexa+ offers enhanced conversational abilities, smart home control, entertainment management, shopping assistance, health tracking integrations, and family organization tools. These devices also support Alexa Home Theater setups for surround sound and will come with Early Access to Alexa+ out of the box. Pre-orders are now open, with the Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio available on October 29, and Echo Show 8 and 11 on November 12.
