AMD Driver 25.9.1 Brings FSR 4 to 85+ Games with DirectX 12 Support, Including New Fixes and Optimizations

AMD has rolled out the Adrenalin Driver 25.9.1, introducing FSR 4 support for over 85 games that already feature FSR 3.1 with DirectX 12. This update simplifies the process, as users no longer need third-party upscaling tools to improve visual fidelity. Games such as Borderlands 4 and Hell Is Us are now supported with FSR 4. While FSR 4 promises improved image quality, especially in performance and balanced modes, the RDNA 4 GPU remains essential for maximum compatibility, with limited support for RDNA 3 GPUs, which requires a workaround on Linux. The update also resolves a number of issues including crashes and driver timeouts in various titles, especially for Radeon RX 6600 and 9000 series GPUs. However, Vulkan titles still lack FSR 4 support, and third-party upscalers do not offer a solution for them. Overall, AMD’s latest driver aims to enhance the gaming experience with better visuals and smoother performance, and continues to expand its FSR 4 reach for DX12-based games.
