AMD Unveils Radeon RX 9060 XT Graphics Card and Ryzen Threadripper 9000 Series CPUs at Computex 2025

At Computex 2025 in Taiwan, AMD introduced two major product lines: the Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card and the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series CPUs. The Radeon RX 9060 XT targets budget-conscious gamers, offering 8GB or 16GB of video memory and a starting price of $299 for the 8GB model and $349 for the 16GB version. It features a boost clock of 3,130 MHz, 32 Ray Tracing cores, and 64 AI accelerators, delivering up to 6% better performance than Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB in AMD’s benchmarks. The card’s power consumption ranges from 150W to 182W, making it compatible with standard 8-pin connectors and accessible for users with older power supplies. AMD aims to leverage the RX 9060 XT’s value proposition to compete directly with Nvidia’s midrange offerings and increase its market share.

AMD also announced the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series, featuring the new Zen 5 architecture. The standard 9000 models are positioned as high-end desktop CPUs, while the Pro variants are designed for professional workstations. The flagship 9980X offers up to 64 cores and 128 threads, with all models achieving boost clocks up to 5.4GHz. While the core counts remain unchanged from the previous generation, the new chips promise improved performance and efficiency. Pricing and availability for both the Radeon RX 9060 XT and Threadripper 9000 series have yet to be disclosed, with more details expected soon.
