AMD Reveals Radeon RX 9060 XT with RDNA 4 Architecture and 16GB VRAM Option

AMD has officially unveiled the Radeon RX 9060 XT, its new budget-oriented graphics card, at Computex 2025. Designed with gamers in mind, the RX 9060 XT is built on the RDNA 4 architecture and comes with 32 compute units, 2,048 stream processors, and 64 AI cores. The card is offered in 8GB and 16GB VRAM configurations, with AMD putting particular emphasis on the 16GB version for future-proofing. The GPU also features 32 RT cores and a boost clock speed of 3.13GHz, surpassing even the RX 9070 XT in raw clock speed. With a total board power consumption between 150W and 182W, the card operates using a single 8-pin power connector. AMD claims double the ray tracing performance over the previous generation, and with support for FSR 4 upscaling and AI-assisted features, it’s positioned as a direct competitor to Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti. Although AMD has not confirmed a price or release date, estimates suggest a June 2025 launch, with prices around $399 for the 16GB model and $329 for the 8GB model. AMD also emphasized the full PCIe 5.0 x16 interface, ensuring maximum bandwidth even on older PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 motherboards.
