Android 16 QPR1 September Update for Pixel Devices: Key Fixes and Improvements

The Android 16 QPR1 update, which includes the September 2025 security patch, is now being rolled out to a wide range of Pixel devices. This update addresses various issues and includes fixes for problems related to audio, battery, biometrics, Bluetooth, camera, display, framework, kernel, system, telephony, and user interface. Notably, the update resolves 68 security vulnerabilities, with 52 additional fixes in the September 5, 2025 patch. Some of these vulnerabilities were under targeted exploitation. In addition to security patches, the update includes multiple performance and stability improvements, including better call audio quality, improved fingerprint recognition, and a more stable Bluetooth connection. Users will also notice fixes for the screen turning black during web transitions, issues with the Pixel launcher crashing, and improvements to system responsiveness, including better navigation and Quick Settings functionality. This update is available for sideloading, with global builds for multiple Pixel models, ranging from Pixel 6 to Pixel 10 Pro XL.
