Apple has introduced more than 20 new features and improvements for its Apple Intelligence platform with the release of iOS 26. Although the much-anticipated Siri upgrades have yet to arrive, this update brings significant advancements in communication, creativity, and device intelligence. In the Communication category, iOS 26 adds live translation for Messages, calls, and FaceTime, enabling automatic real-time translations. Beyond messaging, Apple Intelligence now extends to additional apps and languages. Apple Maps receives smarter AI-driven search, while Shortcuts gain new AI actions for automating tasks. The Reminders app can automatically categorize and suggest tasks from emails or notes, and Apple Wallet can extract order-tracking details directly from emails. Third-party developers can also leverage Apple’s AI foundation models. Language support now includes Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese. Creative tools like Image Playground and Genmoji have been upgraded to allow mixing multiple emojis, customizing facial expressions, and editing personal attributes. Finally, iOS 26 introduces Adaptive Power Mode for better battery life, visual intelligence for screenshots with features like Ask ChatGPT, and expanded notification summaries. The update remains exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and newer models.
