Beeper relaunches its all-in-one messaging app with enhanced privacy features and premium plans
Beeper, an all-in-one messaging app, has relaunched with a focus on security and privacy. The app now offers an on-device model, eliminating the need for its cloud services and ensuring end-to-end encryption for all communications. This shift is aimed at improving user privacy by directly connecting to messaging networks. Beeper supports a wide range of platforms including WhatsApp, Instagram, X, Telegram, Signal, Slack, and others, while offering new premium features. The Beeper Plus plan at $9.99/month provides additional services like access to more accounts, message scheduling, incognito mode, and AI transcriptions for voice notes. For businesses, Beeper Plus Plus at $49.99/month offers unlimited accounts. The relaunch also integrates features from Texts.com, another Automattic acquisition, and looks forward to future integrations with personal CRM Clay. The app’s goal is to streamline messaging while respecting user privacy, aiming to stay compliant with future EU regulations on messaging platforms. The company plans to eventually phase out its cloud service once the on-device model becomes fully reliable.
