Complete Specs and Pricing Leak for the Upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 Series
Samsung is set to unveil its new Galaxy Watch 8 series during the Unpacked event on July 9, 2023. Leaked details reveal that the new series will include three models: the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and the premium Watch Ultra (2025). All models will feature the latest Exynos W1000 chip, 2GB of RAM, and similar sensor arrays, including Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) and ECG sensors. They will also come with ultra-bright Super AMOLED displays with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and be protected by Sapphire Glass. The Watch Ultra will stand out with its larger 47mm titanium casing and additional features such as an emergency siren and a large 590mAh battery. As for the pricing, the European prices are expected to be significantly higher compared to the previous generation, with the base model starting at €380. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will retail for around €530, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra will maintain its €700 price tag. Samsung plans to release these models in France and possibly other European markets on July 23, 2023. These leaks come ahead of the official reveal, making it clear that Samsung is aiming to offer more powerful hardware with a higher price point for this new generation of smartwatches.
