Samsung Discontinues Galaxy S26 Edge Due to Poor Sales

Samsung has decided to cancel the Galaxy S26 Edge following poor sales performance of its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Edge. Unlike the other models in the Galaxy S25 lineup which sold millions of units, the S25 Edge sold just 1.31 million units globally by August 2025, far below expectations. Although development on the S26 Edge had been completed, Samsung reportedly discontinued the Edge line only five months after its launch. Reports also suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be phased out once existing stock is depleted. Market feedback and internal sources indicate low consumer interest in the Edge variant compared to the Plus model. Two reliable leakers have confirmed that the Galaxy S26 Edge is discontinued. Earlier rumors had predicted Samsung would drop the Plus model in favor of the Edge, but recent developments show the Plus model’s development resumed.
