Dbrand’s Killswitch Case Offers Superior Fit and Protection for the Switch 2

The Dbrand Killswitch is a standout protective case for the Nintendo Switch 2, offering an excellent combination of fit, function, and comfort. Reviewed by Cameron Faulkner for The Verge, the article highlights how this accessory was developed with attention to the console’s real dimensions—unlike many early accessories made before companies could test the actual hardware. The basic $59.95 ‘Essentials’ kit includes a grippy shell, adhesive strips for security, a kickstand protector, and ergonomic Joy-Con 2 grips. These grips are notably comfortable and easy to install.

The $79.85 ‘Travel’ kit adds a front cover and a cartridge tray that stores up to 10 games, enhancing portability and protection. Meanwhile, the $99.80 ‘Ultra’ tier includes additional thumbstick grips and two tempered glass screen protectors, offering full-spectrum defense for users who want maximum safeguarding. One unique feature is Dbrand’s own USB-C dock adapter, which compensates for the Killswitch’s incompatibility with Nintendo’s official dock. Though bulky, it ensures the console functions properly in docked mode without needing to remove the case.

Overall, the Killswitch transforms the slim Switch 2 into a more rugged handheld, reminiscent of the Steam Deck, appealing to users who prefer a bulkier, more secure grip during play.
