Apple Unveils Key visionOS 26 Features for Consumers and Enterprise at WWDC 2025

At WWDC 2025, Apple introduced visionOS 26, a major update to its mixed reality operating system for the Vision Pro headset. This update expands on last year’s spatial computing features by adding immersive tools for both personal and professional users. Key enhancements include customizable spatial widgets that integrate digital content seamlessly into the user’s environment, such as interactive clocks, weather displays, music controls, and photo galleries with 3D effects.

The Photos app now uses AI-driven depth perception to animate 2D images, creating multi-perspective views. Safari supports spatial browsing for distraction-free web experiences with dynamic inline visuals. Apple’s ‘Personas’ avatars, launched in beta last year, have been upgraded with volumetric rendering and improved AI to offer more lifelike representations during video calls.

Apple also introduced new collaborative features. Users can co-watch content or play games with others in real time, and enterprise apps like Dassault Systèmes’ 3DLive will use this for collaborative design. Organizations gain tools for shared device usage, data privacy, and access management.

Additional features include eye-based scrolling, new language support, and cross-device functionality like unlocking iPhones or receiving calls while wearing the headset. Apple also showcased Logitech Muse, a new spatial accessory designed for creative work in 3D.
