Google Unveils AI Tools, AR Glasses, and New Features Across Chrome and Android at Google I/O 2025

At the 2025 Google I/O developer conference, the tech giant emphasized its continued integration of AI into nearly every product and service. Among the highlights was the introduction of Project Aura, an Android XR developer kit that includes new AR glasses in collaboration with Xreal. Google also presented its AI-driven conversational assistant, Gemini Live, as well as Project Moohan, developed with Samsung. A major announcement was the rollout of Gemini AI subscription tiers: AI Pro, formerly Gemini Advanced at $20/month, and the new AI Ultra tier at $250/month, offering powerful tools, AI agents, and large-scale storage.

Google also revealed ‘Flow’, a generative video tool combining capabilities from Imagen 4 and Veo 3 for creating and editing cohesive video sequences with audio and visual consistency. Chrome users will benefit from expanded AI features like screen-based summarization and agentic chat. A new AI Mode for Google Search introduces enhanced shopping features, including personalized recommendations and AI-assisted checkout.

Google Beam (formerly Project Starline) was introduced as a new 3D video conferencing platform utilizing AI to create realistic, interactive holograms. Other updates include Smart Replies for Gmail, NotebookLM with Gemini Live, and enhanced AI image and video generation tools.
