Google integrates Gemini into Wear OS watches and enhances Circle to Search with AI Mode

Google has announced the rollout of its Gemini AI to Wear OS watches, including models from Pixel, Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, and Xiaomi running Wear OS 4+. Users will now be able to interact with Gemini using voice commands, a side button press, or the Gemini app icon, helping with tasks like answering questions or managing calendars. Additionally, Google is enhancing its Circle to Search feature by incorporating AI Mode, which allows for advanced reasoning and deeper follow-up questions without switching between apps. The feature, which was first launched in 2024, now includes support for gaming-related queries, letting players identify characters or strategies while gaming. This update is available in the U.S. and India. Another notable announcement is the availability of AI Mode in Google Lens, which can be accessed through the Google app on both Android and iOS. Furthermore, Pixel 9 Pro users will receive a year-long free subscription to Google AI Pro, which includes access to the Veo 3 video-generation tool. The new functionalities show Google’s ongoing effort to integrate AI more deeply into its ecosystem.
