Samsung unveils budget-friendly Z Flip 7 FE foldable with reduced price

Samsung has unveiled the Z Flip 7 FE, the company’s first foldable phone in its Fan Edition (FE) lineup. The FE model, priced at $899, offers a more affordable alternative to the flagship Z Flip 7, which costs $1,099. While it shares much of the same design and features as the previous Z Flip 6, such as a 3.4-inch cover screen and 6.7-inch internal display, the Flip 7 FE sacrifices some premium aspects. For example, it comes with 8GB of RAM (compared to the Flip 7’s 12GB), and a slower Exynos 2400 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It still packs a 4,000mAh battery, 12MP ultrawide and 50MP wide-angle cameras, and a 10MP front camera. Samsung is also introducing a new color option for the Flip 7, with the FE model only available in black or white. The Z Flip 7 FE will be available for pre-order starting today, with general availability beginning July 25th, offering an affordable entry point into the world of foldable phones.
