Nest Wifi Pro July 2025 Update Improves Performance and Fixes Security Issues

Google has rolled out the long-awaited July 2025 firmware update for the Nest Wifi Pro, which improves the device’s performance with enhanced whole-home coverage and Thread support. This update, which was first announced in April but never fully launched, also includes several stability fixes and security patches. For users with a Yale Smart Lock compatible with Matter, the update specifically resolves setup issues. Version 3.76.479819, which started rolling out on July 1, 2025, addresses the same changes that were originally planned for the April release. The update is being deployed automatically in the background, but users can manually restart their routers to ensure they receive it. To check if the update has been installed, users can go to the Google Home app, select their Nest Wifi Pro device, and access its settings. The last update prior to this was from December 2024, meaning this is a significant update after several months. Despite a rocky start with the earlier rollout attempts, the current update promises better stability and coverage for the Nest Wifi Pro system.
