Infinite Machine Introduces the Olto: A Versatile Urban Ebike for Daily Use
Infinite Machine, a Brooklyn-based startup, has launched its second electric mobility product, the Olto—an innovative sit-down ebike designed for urban commuters. Following the high-cost, niche P1 scooter, the Olto targets a broader market with a price tag of $3,495. Its design combines elements of a scooter and ebike, making it legal for bike lane use in many cities. It can carry two riders, includes footrests that transform into pedals, and offers three ride modes: Class 2 (20 mph throttle), Class 3 (28 mph pedal assist), and Offroad (33 mph max speed).
The Olto features weatherproof materials, theft-deterrent systems including GPS, internet connectivity, an alarm, and a physical lock mount. It also includes a swappable UL-certified battery, reverse functionality, USB-C phone charging, and app-based controls. Riders can use throttle, pedal, or both. Accessories like a kid seat or rear rack can be configured during purchase.
Though still new, Infinite Machine is trying to build a long-term brand with investor support from Andreessen Horowitz and celebrities like Will.i.am. Manufacturing takes place in China, with plans to expand to Malaysia. Preorders are now open, with deliveries expected in fall 2025.
