Bose Introduces Upgraded QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds and New Bluetooth Speakers
Bose has announced several updates to its audio product lineup, including a second generation of the QuietComfort Ultra wireless earbuds and two new Bluetooth speakers. The upgraded earbuds feature enhanced adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) that responds more smoothly to abrupt environmental sounds, thanks to an improved AI-driven algorithm. This allows for subtler transitions, especially in awareness mode. The design now includes a new wax guard, wireless charging support, and the option to disable touch controls to avoid accidental inputs. Call quality has also been improved using technology originally developed for hearing aids.
In addition to the earbuds, Bose introduced an updated SoundLink Micro Bluetooth speaker, which now supports USB-C charging, offers double the battery life (up to 12 hours), clearer high-frequency sound, and customizable settings through the Bose mobile app.
A completely new speaker, the SoundLink Plus, is also launching. With a price of $269, it features a subwoofer, tweeter, and four passive radiators for rich sound. It has an IP67 waterproof rating, floats on water, and offers up to 20 hours of playtime. This speaker will be available in black and blue dusk, with a citrus yellow option available for preorder on June 18th and official launch on June 26th.
