Apple Reveals Updated Display Sizes and Features for iPhone 17 Lineup
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 lineup, expected in September 2025, will consist of four models: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Notably, both the standard iPhone 17 and the new iPhone 17 Air will feature updated display sizes. The iPhone 17 will increase its display to 6.27 inches, matching the current iPhone 16 Pro, while the iPhone 17 Air introduces a 6.55-inch screen, slightly smaller than the 6.7-inch iPhone 16 Plus it replaces. The iPhone 17 Pro will retain the 6.27-inch display, and the Pro Max will continue with its 6.86-inch screen. Apple is expected to round these measurements in marketing, offering 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch options. Beyond size changes, the iPhone 17 Air and Pro models may feature a new horizontal rear camera bar, while the standard iPhone 17 will keep the previous camera design. All models are rumored to benefit from a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, an upgraded 24-megapixel front camera, and the new A19 chip. While the iPhone 17 itself will see minimal changes aside from the display, the broader lineup reflects Apple’s ongoing efforts to diversify its smartphone offerings and appeal to a range of user preferences.
