Meta launches Ray-Ban smart glasses sales in India starting May 19 with AI features

Meta has announced that its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses will be available for purchase in India beginning May 19, 2025, with prices starting at ₹29,990 (approximately $353). The glasses are currently open for pre-order on the official Ray-Ban website and will be available in Ray-Ban retail stores at launch. These smart glasses come integrated with Meta AI, enabling users to ask questions about their surroundings, translate live audio and video, send messages via their phone, make calls, and more. Currently, live translation is supported for English, French, Italian, and Spanish, even when offline; however, Indian languages are not yet supported. Additionally, the glasses will support music streaming through popular apps such as Spotify, Amazon Music, Shazam, and Apple Music in India. Since their initial launch in 2023, Meta has sold approximately 2 million pairs globally. This launch marks Meta’s expansion of its smart wearable technology into the Indian market, combining fashion with advanced AI-powered functionalities.
