Microsoft Tests New Feature to Combine Multiple Gaming Stores into One Library on Windows 11 Xbox App
Microsoft has begun testing a new feature for Xbox Insiders that integrates games from various PC gaming platforms into a unified library within the Xbox app on Windows 11. This new functionality, available through the PC Gaming Preview program, allows users to access and launch games from different platforms like Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net, and others without the need to open individual storefronts. Once a game is installed, it automatically appears in the ‘My Library’ section of the Xbox app, making it easier for players to resume their sessions. The update also adds a ‘Most Recent’ sidebar to quickly access the last played titles. Users can customize their library visibility by hiding games from certain storefronts to keep the interface clean. While the feature is currently available to a limited group of users, Microsoft plans to roll it out to more users by the end of the year, just in time for the holiday season. The move reflects a growing trend of streamlining digital game libraries across multiple platforms to enhance user experience. Xbox Insiders who are not yet enrolled can join through the Xbox Insider Hub app on Windows PCs, Xbox Series X|S, or Xbox One.
