Ruaha Catholic University (RUCU) in Iringa has officially launched a modern website that is integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The new platform is designed to make it easier for students, parents, and other stakeholders to access information and services without having to travel or make phone calls. The website allows users to ask questions about the university and get accurate instant responses, helping to save both time and communication costs. Prof Chrispina Lekule, the Vice-Chancellor, emphasized that the university is keeping up with global technological advancements and providing a user-friendly experience on mobile phones and computers. The platform provides access to details about academic programmes, fees, university leadership, student services, and options to book appointments with officials. Dr Willy Migodela, chairperson of the website committee, highlighted that the platform will connect the university to the community and showcase RUCU’s achievements in education, research, innovation, and community service. Students have welcomed the development, noting that it will reduce congestion in university offices and make services more accessible. Overall, the AI-powered website represents a significant step in modernising communication and service delivery at RUCU.
