Samsung Receives Carbon Certifications for 80 TV and Audio Models in 2025, Including Neo QLED and OLED

Samsung Electronics has announced that approximately 80 models from its 2025 TV, monitor, and soundbar product lines have received Product Carbon Reduction and Product Carbon Footprint certifications from TÜV Rheinland, a well-known certification body based in Germany. This recognition marks the fifth consecutive year Samsung has received such certifications for its premium TV models, including Neo QLED 8K and Neo QLED. These certifications assess the entire lifecycle of products—from manufacturing to disposal—ensuring they meet international carbon emission standards. The Product Carbon Reduction certification specifically recognizes devices that show measurable carbon footprint improvements over their previous iterations. Samsung’s ongoing sustainability efforts began in 2021 when its Neo QLED line became the first 4K and higher-resolution TV to be certified by Carbon Trust for reducing CO2 emissions. Since then, Samsung has expanded its eco-conscious product offerings to include QLED, OLED, Lifestyle TVs, monitors, digital signage, and soundbars. The company also plans to seek similar recognition for its Color E-Paper products later in 2025. These achievements reflect Samsung’s broader commitment to reducing environmental impact through innovation and responsible product development.
