Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Flip7, and Watch8 Certified Ahead of July Launch
Samsung is preparing to launch its latest foldable smartphones—the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7—alongside the Galaxy Watch8 series in early to mid-July at an Unpacked event in New York. In anticipation, the devices have received new certifications. The SafetyKorea agency has approved Korean versions of the foldables, identified by the model numbers SM-F966N (Fold7) and SM-F766N (Flip7). The ‘N’ suffix indicates these are South Korea-bound variants.
On the wearables front, the Global Certification Forum (GCF) has certified the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic, with model numbers SM-L335F and SM-L505F, respectively. While these certifications don’t reveal technical specifications, prior leaks and teasers suggest notable features. Samsung has begun promoting the Fold7’s slim design and camera upgrades. The Watch8 series will follow the design cues set by the Galaxy Watch Ultra in 2024, adopting a ‘squircle’ case shape—while keeping round displays.
Though no new specs have been confirmed by the latest certifications, the steady stream of approvals suggests that the launch is imminent. This follows earlier certifications in other markets and further supports expectations of a global release for the updated Galaxy Z and Watch series.
