Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Review: A Premium, Practical Foldable Phone

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 represents a leap forward for foldable smartphones, offering a thinner, lighter, and more durable design without sacrificing performance. At $2,000, it’s a pricey device, but for those seeking a foldable phone that doesn’t require compromises, it’s the best option available. The external 6.5-inch display is as usable as any traditional smartphone, making it more practical for everyday use. While the camera is excellent with its 200MP main sensor, it lacks the extreme zoom capabilities found in the Ultra series. The device features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, ensuring top-tier performance for gaming and multitasking. The foldable phone is lighter than both the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max, making it a comfortable carry. However, the large camera bump causes the phone to wobble when laid flat. With an 8-inch internal screen, it’s great for multitasking and reading, though not ideal for widescreen videos due to its aspect ratio. Unfortunately, there’s no support for the S Pen, which could be a dealbreaker for users who rely on stylus input. Overall, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is a near-perfect foldable for those looking for a high-quality, multifunctional device that combines the best features of both a smartphone and a tablet.
