Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Motorola Razr Ultra (2025): Specs, Battery, and Camera Comparison

In 2025, the clamshell foldable smartphone market is heating up with the anticipated rivalry between Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Motorola’s Razr Ultra (2025). Both devices are rumored to receive significant battery upgrades: the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may feature a 4300mAh battery (a 7.5% increase over its predecessor) with 25W wired charging, while the Razr Ultra could come with a larger 4700mAh battery (up 17.5% from last year) and much faster 68W wired and 30W wireless charging. Performance-wise, both phones are expected to use the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, with Samsung possibly utilizing a special ‘For Galaxy’ version. The Razr Ultra appears to have an edge in memory and display, offering 16GB RAM and a 7-inch internal screen compared to the Flip 7’s expected 12GB RAM and 6.8-inch display. Both may feature 4-inch external screens. In photography, Motorola aims to close the gap with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700c main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide/macro camera, and a 50MP selfie camera. The Flip 7 is rumored to retain last year’s camera hardware: a 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, and 10MP selfie sensor. This rivalry could shift attention from the traditional iPhone vs. Galaxy S Ultra battle, making the foldable segment more competitive than ever.
