Google Maps to Introduce Feature for Easier Group Planning with Shareable Search Results Lists

Google Maps is set to introduce a new feature that makes it easier to share search results in the form of lists, potentially simplifying group planning tasks. Currently, when users search for places like restaurants, it can be difficult to share multiple results with friends to make decisions. The upcoming feature, found in Google Maps v25.34.00, will allow users to create shareable lists directly from the first ten search results. Once a search is made, a ‘share’ button will appear, which compiles the results into a list. Users can name the list, add a description, and even choose an icon before sharing it. While the list is limited to the first ten results, users can customize the list by deselecting unwanted entries. This feature is designed to work with all common Google Maps search terms. Though it’s not yet available, this function could significantly streamline collaborative decision-making, such as selecting restaurants with friends or colleagues. The feature is still in development, and its public release date remains unknown.
