Xiaomi unveils Redmi Note 15 with improved battery and performance features

Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 15 in China, introducing several updates over its predecessor. The device boasts a larger 6.77-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,200 nits peak brightness, making it suitable for high-quality visuals. The battery capacity has been increased from 5,110 mAh to 5,800 mAh, maintaining a 45W wired charging speed. Performance has also been enhanced, as the Redmi Note 15 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, providing around an 18% performance improvement over the previous year’s Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset. Additionally, the smartphone features a 50 MP primary camera with a new Light Hunter 400 sensor, although this may be a downgrade compared to the Sony LYT-600 sensor used in the Redmi Note 14. The device is available in several configurations, starting at CNY 999 (~$139) for 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Xiaomi has not disclosed international availability yet but is expected to release the 5G variant globally. The Redmi Note 15 comes in three colors: Azure Blue, Midnight Dark, and Starlight White.
