Coatzacoalcos Launches Emplé@te Platform to Boost Local Hiring and Digital Public Services
Coatzacoalcos has reinforced its commitment to digital transformation and public innovation with the launch of the Emplé@te platform. The solution was developed entirely in-house by municipal staff at no external cost, addressing the need to strengthen labor linkages between local businesses and residents. Emplé@te is designed as a reliable and efficient tool that modernizes municipal services and is intended to be permanent, usable by future administrations. Access is through the city’s official portal under the Government Digital section, with a direct link to empleate.coatzacoalcos.gob.mx where individuals can create profiles, view vacancies, and apply easily. Companies can post openings and swiftly select candidates. Video tutorials and an intuitive interface aim to facilitate the experience for job seekers and employers alike, while promoting inclusion and technological simplicity. The platform responds to the clear demand for a free, centralized, and secure digital space amid ongoing industrial growth and dynamic labor needs, aligning with a transparent, modern governance model focused on economic and social development and data protection. Emplé@te is expected to generate real opportunities for youth, adults, and traditionally underserved groups. Early feedback from employers and users highlights time savings, streamlined candidate selection, and consolidated information in one place. Vacancies span sectors such as commerce, logistics, tourism, services, and manufacturing. The Economic Development Directorate also provides guidance and telephone support for additional help. This initiative positions technology as a tool for development and social inclusion, with the challenge of replicating the model in other municipalities and scaling its benefits. Emplé@te represents a shift toward digital public administration as a driver of trust, opportunities, and growth.
