Trump’s ‘Made in the USA’ tagline removed from phone listing amid production concerns

Days after the Trump Organization announced plans to launch the Trump T1 smartphone, a key detail disappeared from its promotional material. The ‘Made in the USA’ tagline that featured prominently when the phone was launched on June 16 was no longer visible on its website. Despite this, the Trump Mobile organization maintains that the phone will still be manufactured in the US. A spokesperson assured that any claims suggesting otherwise are ‘inaccurate’. The reference to the phone being ‘Made in the USA’ was replaced with an ‘American-Proud Design’ description, though the company still claims the device will be ‘brought to life right here in the USA’. Experts, however, remain skeptical about the feasibility of manufacturing the phone entirely in the US. Johns Hopkins Business Professor Tinglong Dai expressed doubt about the possibility of a working prototype being ready in time for the phone’s September release. Analysts suggest that the phone may be assembled in the US, but parts would likely come from overseas. Similar skepticism surrounded Donald Trump’s earlier push for Apple to move its iPhone production to the US. Despite these concerns, Eric Trump, who launched the mobile phone plan with his brother, Donald Trump Jr., expressed hope that eventually all phones could be made in America.
