PayPal and Venmo Offer Early Access to AI-Powered Browser Comet with Free Perplexity Pro Subscription

PayPal and Venmo users now have the opportunity to receive an exclusive invite to Comet, a new AI-powered web browser from Perplexity. Launched in July, Comet integrates an AI assistant for smarter browsing, including AI-generated summaries and product comparisons. Initially available only to high-tier subscribers, PayPal’s partnership with Perplexity now allows millions of customers to get early access. In addition, users are offered a free year-long subscription to Perplexity Pro, normally priced at $200 annually. This partnership aims to increase the exposure of Perplexity’s browser while also helping PayPal enhance its services with added features like a subscriptions hub, making it easier for users to manage recurring payments. The offer is available to U.S. customers and some international users and will be active through the end of 2025. PayPal also offers incentives like $50 rewards for customers who link and pay for subscriptions through the service. The deal represents a significant co-marketing opportunity for both companies, aiming to increase user engagement and boost the adoption of the AI-powered browser, which competes against market giants like Google Chrome.
