Realme GT 8 Pro: Large Battery, Advanced Features Confirmed Ahead of October 21 Launch
The upcoming Realme GT 8 Pro smartphone, set to launch in China on October 21, has had its key specifications officially revealed, highlighting a significant upgrade from its predecessor. Notably, it will feature a 7,000mAh battery, larger than the 6,500mAh in the GT 7 Pro, with support for 120W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and bypass charging for enhanced convenience. Despite the bigger battery, the device is slimmer, measuring just 8.2mm compared to the previous 8.5mm, and weighs around 209 to 214 grams.
The device sports a 6.78-inch OLED display with 2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, running on Realme UI 7 based on Android 16. Its camera system includes a Ricoh-certified 50MP main sensor with optical stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP sensor, capable of recording 4K video at 120fps with Dolby Vision. The camera module is customizable with different layouts, including square, round, and robot-style.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and supporting up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, the GT 8 Pro aims to deliver high performance in a compact design. The device also includes features like dual SIM, 5G, high-speed Wi-Fi, and NFC, making it a competitive flagship in the high-end smartphone market.
