Tim Cook discusses iPhone Air battery life and Apple’s Corning investment

When asked about the battery, Cook reassured viewers that the iPhone Air’s battery life is excellent, explaining that Apple engineered it ‘from the inside out.’ He pointed out that the device uses eSIM-only technology, which allowed Apple to reposition the battery and extend its life by eliminating the need for a physical SIM card. Cook also highlighted the iPhone Air’s ‘pro performance in a smaller package,’ aligning with Apple’s goal to offer customers a choice between the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone Air. In another part of the interview, Cook discussed Apple’s significant investment in Corning, aimed at making the Harrodsburg facility a dedicated producer of glass for the iPhone and Apple Watch. This is part of Apple’s broader initiative to invest $600 billion into American manufacturing over the next four years. Cook emphasized that this move is part of Apple’s commitment to domestic production and innovation.
